曹县是中华文明的重要发祥地之一。
Cao County is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization.
公元前1700年商朝始祖商汤在此建都，
In 1700 BC, Shang Tang, the founder of the Shang Dynasty, set capital here.
元圣伊尹、
Famous historical figures, such as Yi Yin, the sage of Yuan,
道圣庄周、
Zhuang Zhou, the sage of Tao,
兵圣吴起、
Wu Qi, the sage of war,
农圣氾胜之等历史名人流传千古；
and Fan Shengzhi, the sage of agriculture have passed down through the ages.
汤陵、盘庚陵、
Cultural relics such as Tang tomb, Pan Geng tomb
伊尹墓等众多文化遗迹世代传承。
and Yi Yin tomb have been passed down from generation to generation.
